Coco Martin, Hurt During The Taping Of An Action Scene In Tayong Dalawa

Coco Martin, one of the most admired actors of his generation, and a star of the Abs-Cbn Primetime Bida show, Tayong Dalawa, figured in an accident while shooting one of the action scenes in the said teleserye. Playing the elusive villain, Ramon Lecumberri, Coco Martin was shooting a “firing” scene when the accident occurred.

The following video shows a behind-the-scene footage where Martin was shooting at his enemies. A blank round had been fired back but the smoke powder inadvertently hit his eyes. The footage showed the actor dropping to the floor as he writhed in pain. One of the crew could be heard asking for water apparently to douse his eyes with it.

The crew rushed Martin to the University of Santo Tomas Hospital where he underwent a series of medical tests. He was later discharged from the hospital. Martin, who was advised to take a rest by his doctor, cancelled his taping for a “Maalaala Mo Kaya” episode. He also missed the shooting for the final action scenes of “Tayong Dalawa.”

Tayong Dalawa's Finale is set to be shown on September 25.
